Grape Vines

Collection: Grape Vines

Grape Vines:  Vitus vinifera, Vitus labrusca

Home grown grapes are not only a delicious treat, they are an attractive landscaping plant as well. We offer two major types of grapes, European and American. The two types vary in fruit, vine and climate adaptation. European grapes usually require a long, warm growing season and posses firm fruit with nonslip skin and a smooth flavor. American grapes are slip-skin grapes (pulp slides easily from skin) with soft flesh and a distinctive aroma and flavor. American grapes are hardier; resistant to many insects and diseases (powdery mildew, etc) and mature earlier in the season, allowing them to ripen in milder climates. All are self-fruitful and very low chill. Sorry, we cannot ship grapevines to Idaho, New York, or Washington.
