The Red lake Currant produces large clusters of deep red fruit with sprightly, sweet-tart flavor that is excellent for jellies, preserves, tarts and muffins. Vigorous, tall- stemmed bush, 4-6' tall when mature, 2-5' wide. Should expect 5 to 10 lbs of fruit per mature bush. Exceptionally hardy and remains productive in partial shade. Bears over an extended period in July. Currants are usually 1 to 2 ft. Not for locations with very hot summers (over 90 degrees F). We are unable to ship currants to ME, NC and SC.
