Continue ShoppingThe Prime-Ark 45 blackberry is an excellent, erect variety that produces fruit on last year's canes and on the tips of new canes. An early-season, primocane-fruiting blackberry that produces very firm, tasty, dark purple-black, medium-sized berries with an excellent shelf life. Heaviest yield is on second-year canes beginning in early summer; first-year canes begin producing berries as summer progresses, often lasting into fall, extending the fruiting season from summer to fall. When mature Prime-Ark 45 blackberries can be thinned to 4 to 8 of the strongest canes, shorten the laterals to 8" to 14” and remove any growing on the lower 2 to 3’ of the central canes. Tie to a fence or trellis to provide support. Two year canes. Sold as a bundle of three canes
