The Prime Ark 45 blackberry is a firm, black, very large, long berries. Early, heavy producing primocane blackberry that delivers one of the longest harvest seasons available and fruit that stores exceptionally well long after picking. The erect canes make the firm, midnight-black berries easy to spot and harvest, and the dual-season production structure means you’re picking from June through frost. Disease resistant, vigorous, productive, trailing, thorny canes. Often producing 4 to 5 lbs per cane. Does extremely well in California. Ripens in July. When mature Prime Ark 45 blackberries can be thinned to 4 to 8 of the strongest canes, shorten the laterals to 8" to 14” and remove any growing on the lower 2 to 3’ of the central canes. Tie to a fence or trellis to provide support. Two year cane. Sold as a single cane.
