Jefferson plum trees provide richly sweet dessert plums. No need for ice cream when you have this sweet treat growing in your back yard! Raised from a seed by Judge Buel of Albany, New York in 1825. The Jefferson plums are large, golden yellow fruit with a beautiful pinkish-red cheek and a thin, white bloom. Jefferson plums have a juicy, meaty, deep orange flesh. The Jefferson plum tree produces, essentially, an early ripening green gage plum. Good disease resistance and a reliable annual cropper.
