The English Morello cherry tree is an old sour cherry cultivar, likely originating in Europe, possibly Holland or Germany, and introduced to England, eventually made its way to the United States sometime before 1862.   English Morello sour cherry trees are  late-ripening tart cherry for cooking, sometimes eaten fresh when fully ripe. The English Morello cherry trees produce a dark red fruit and juice. English Morello cherry is naturally a small tree with drooping branches. Introduced to America prior to 1862. 500 chill hours needed. Self-fruitful.
