PINK UME Japan

$24.95

This beautiful Japanese apricot tree is often used as an ornamental, but has the added benefit of delicious fruit. Stunning, single pink blooms lead to a bounty of fresh apricots. The Ume is eaten raw, candied, boiled, preserved in sugar, pickled in salt and dried, or made into a liqueur. Harvest the fruit when it displays a red blush over the orange skin. Tree grows to about 15' and is self-fertile. Early bloomer.
