The fruit of Mulberries looks and tastes something like a giant blackberry. Mulberries are vigorous and easy to grow and are prized both for their ornamental value and their delicious fruit. They bear heavily and over a fairly long period of time, are well adapted to most soils and are happy in partial to full sun. All are self-fruitful. The fruit can be eaten straight off the tree, or used to make jam, wine, and a variety of sweet desserts.
