Continue ShoppingMoonglow pear trees were selected in Beltsville, Maryland and introduced in 1960. This is a medium to large fruit with excellent flavor and virtually grit free texture. It is ready for picking later end of summer. The pear can develop a red blush if it's on the tree with good sun exposure. These pears do not have a long shelf life so you probably won't find them in any supermarket. Farmers still like for local sales as this variety is one of the most resistance to diseases such as fireblight. Excellent choice for espalier. Please refer below for more information on the Moonglow pear trees for sale.
