Continue ShoppingIllinois Everbearing red mulberry is a native tree species to the eastern states. Illinois Everbearing mulberry tree produces a 1" to 1.25" long cluster of fruit maturing in the summer. The mulberry provides both edible and ornamental characteristics. It can live up to 125 years but does have an invasive character. It is more cold hardy than the black mulberry. The bark is gray-brown with long, scaly ridges which assist in its identification. Self-fertile.
