Originaly from Spain, Verte Fig is an excellent, medium size, sweet, greenish yellow, thin skinned fig with red flesh that resembles a strawberry. It is small size when mature, so great with small gardens and/or containers. Verte Fig bears from mid-season till late in the season to extend the harvest and the quality is excellent. The figs possess a fine, excellent flavor either fresh or dried. A fairly closed eye, so they are a good choice for wet and humid summer locations. Also referred to as Green Ischia.
