Ours is the original, not the redder hybrid. Naturally a smaller tree, this variety bears young, annually, and heavily. Fruit medium, highly colored in sunny climates, striped red in cooler climate with fine-textured, juicy, sprightly subacid flavored flesh. One of the best dessert and pie apples.
